ENCYCLOPAEDIA

Oceanic,

what exists

plays with men’s

words

and trows them away,

when it gets tired,

to the encyclopaedias

stranded beaches.

I picked up off the sand

this summer,

riddled with sea worm holes,

a piece of wood,

polished by waves,

with a tiny

little snail

sheltering in it,

and now,

quiet on my desk,

it’s like a sea

word.
